Storytelling Project
“More Than My Makeup” is a reflective video essay told through the rhythm of a “get ready with me” style video. As I film my makeup routine, I share how beauty has shaped my life – from growing up around a family member in the industry to struggling with insecurities fuelled by beauty standards and lack of diversity in brands. Over time, makeup became less of a mask and more of a form of confidence and self-expression. It’s a personal story about learning that makeup can be your armour, but real beauty comes from within.
Spend The Day With Me
I had a jam-packed Wednesday that perfectly captures the balance of student life. From getting ready for class to attending info sessions and ending the night with a comedy show, it was a full day of learning, laughs, and everything in between!
Hotpot Guessing Game
I took my friends to Bigway Hotpot for the first time, and we decided to record a fun guessing game for TikTok – just for laughs. None of us expected it to blow up the way it did, but by the next morning, our phones were flooded with notifications.
Album Review
Whenever an artist I love releases a new album, I like to give it a full front-to-back listen and jot down my thoughts and feelings. This post was made on the Procreate app and the review was for Destin Conrad’s jazz-infused album “wHIMSY” – I’d highly recommend giving it a listen!
